Why STEM?
STEM education emphasises a concept-driven approach, aiming to enhance students' analytical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
The absence of proper teaching materials and interactive learning has generated negative perceptions among students regarding mathematics and science, leading to under-qualified graduates who face challenges in coping with increased competition.
A 2011 report indicates that two-fifths of employers struggle to find employees with the necessary expertise in STEM — underscoring the pressing need to prioritise STEM education in India.
