The basic Diploma course in General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M.) is deeply geared to the immediate health needs of individuals, families, communities, and the country at large. Spanning three rigorous years, this full-time program thoroughly prepares aspiring nurses with a sound educational background to function as highly efficient, first-level members of modern healthcare teams.
Approved by the Indian Nursing Council and affiliated with the UP State Medical Faculty, Lucknow, the core objective of the program is to help nurses develop an ability to cooperate and coordinate with health teams in disease prevention, health promotion, and rehabilitation. It serves as a rock-solid base for further professional specialization, preparing nurses to keep pace with the latest technological developments in patient care.

Course Details
Academic Qualification
10+2 with English
Must have completed 10+2 with English from a recognized board. (Science stream is preferable).
Minimum Marks
40% Aggregate
Must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination, and 40% in English individually.
Alternative Pathways
Vocational ANM / NIOS
Registered ANMs with a pass mark, or 10+2 Vocational Health Care Science / Vocational ANM (with 40%) are eligible.
Note: Candidates from State Open Schools recognized by State/Central Governments (NIOS) are also actively eligible to apply.
